REGISTRATIONS FOR COURSES IN 2021
To our prospective students,
We are aware that due to the pandemic, you may have concerns about registering for contact courses commencing this year. We realise that these concerns are due to Matric Results being issued late and the apprehension that there may be further lockdowns into this year.
Don’t let this delay your registration for courses. We are taking provisional registrations now and prospective students are encouraged to book their place.
We have put measures in place that should allay your concerns:
Should you not achieve your matric pass:
- We can provide you with a “bridging” course (on NQF Level 4), which on successful completion, will provide you access onto our NQF 5 and 6 qualifications OR
- If you decide to return to Grade 12 in 2021, we will cancel your registration and refund your deposit without penalty.
Should we go into further lockdowns in 2021 we will continue to provide ‘live’ and ‘interactive’ lectures and practical workshops online, facilitated by your individual class tutors. These classes will follow the normal annual calendar and be offered at the same times and days as if you were in class. Students have access to class tutors outside of class times using various platforms of communication.
All students have access to our comprehensive Online Learning Platform.
During lockdown last year, we were successful in providing our students uninterrupted tuition and support. Students were able to keep up to date with their studies and we have received positive feedback in relation to the measures that we put in place to guide and support our students. Almost our entire full-time class of 2020 are returning for the 2nd year in 2021 to study the Advanced Certificate in Exercise Science (NQF6)
NEW MODE OF DELIVERY FOR 2021!!
For those who are apprehensive about attending daily lectures & workshops on campus, we have included a new mode of delivery which offers a weekday workshop, 1 day per week (as per the annual academic calendar).
Students will use the HFPA Online Learning Platform, be supported by an Online Tutor and then attend 1 x practical workshop per week, on-campus.
This mode allows for peer interaction, the support of a dedicated class tutor, discussion groups and 1 day per week in the practical training facility. We have all the safety measures in place and the practical training venues allow for easy distancing in a safe environment.
