The purpose of the skills programme is to capacitate employees to execute
the duties of an Advanced Emergency First Air Responder. Advanced
Emergency First Aid Responders provide advanced emergency first aid
care to patients in critical or life-threatening situations during an
emergency situation.
A qualified learner will be able to:
- Assist with the coordination and management
of first aid providers’ activities on an emergency
scene.
- Provide advanced emergency first aid medical
care for a range of medical conditions to
patients in critical or life-threatening situations.
- Provide wound care within advanced
emergency first aid scope.
- Provide life support interventions on the incident
scene and through advanced emergency first
aid techniques.
- Handover patient with relevant report on the
patient’s condition and treatment.
- Classes on Saturday’s with a Practical Component.
