    Course Description

    Group Exercise Instructor

    This qualification is an NQF4 qualification aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor, in the context of exercise to music. It is often referred to as Aerobics. Group Exercise Instructor is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to plan and instruct group classes. It is a practical, fun and versatile course that will allow you to give group fitness classes in a high-energy atmosphere. It covers the fundamentals of group fitness instruction including exercise and dance moves, music selection, choreography and teaching methods.

    This course Includes:

    • An HFPA Anatomy and Physiology Manual and HFPA Group Exercise Instructor manual (received in hard copy)
    • A study (orientation) guide, logbook and assessments (online)

    Study Mode Offered: CONTACT COURSE

    This course is completed via both contact workshops and using the HFPA Online Learning Platform.

    HiiT Instructor

    This course will teach you all the principles of HiiT training and equip you with the skills to incorporate HiiT training into your current service offering or offer HiiT training boot camp classes. HiiT Training is a popular way of training athletes, as it emphasises the body’s natural ability to move.

    Bootcamp Instructor

    This course is specifically designed for Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Trainers to create challenging and interactive bootcamp training sessions. The exercises can be added to traditional weight training and cardio programmes or put together in a group class format that is very effective for improving functional power, cardiovascular endurance and improving the physique.

    The aim of this course is to make the trainer aware of the different methods associated with using a variety of practical training equipment tools while training in an outdoor setting. There are safety aspects that need to be considered and special precautions that need to be considered when using each of the pieces of equipment with clients. A thorough understanding of safety needs to first be in place before any training can commence. This course will focus on teaching how to structure bootcamp classes, from beginner’s level to very advance.
