You will need a Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) If you do not hold a level 4 NQF you can apply to study our Fitness Instructor NQF 4 Certificate. Successfully completing this will provide you access to our NQF 5 programmes and a pathway into more advanced programmes and further opportunities.

The National Diploma in Fitness (NDIF) is a full qualification which qualifies you to work internationally as an Advanced Personal Trainer. The first part includes the National Certificate in Fitness (NCIF) modules which means that you will qualify as a Personal Trainer half way through the full course. This is a comprehensive qualification which includes exercise prescription for the young, elderly, elite athletes and those with certain medical conditions and disabilities. This qualification will provide you with a broad base of expertise which will increase your employment opportunities and client base, and therefore increase your earning potential. Group Training Specialist

This qualification is an NQF4 qualification aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor, in the context of exercise to music. Group Training Specialist is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to plan and instruct group classes. It is a practical, fun and versatile course that will allow you to give group fitness classes in a high-energy atmosphere. You will learn the principles of HiiT training which equips you with the skills to incorporate HiiT training into your group exercise classes in a boot camp format. HiiT and Bootcamp Training is a very popular way of training athletes, as it emphasises the body’s natural ability to move. It’s also a fun, highly effective way to improve fitness and gain muscle tone. Gain insight on how to structure a variety of Group Training programmes including: Tabata routines, hard, harder, hardest routines, Little method, Fartlek method and MITT method.The routines will empower the instructor to create fun, interactive, group training sessions which will keep your clients on their toes and wanting more.
