This course will equip you with all the knowledge and practical skills to train pregnant clients throughout their pregnancy, as well as post pregnancy. You will learn, among other things, the physiological and psychological changes that occur during pregnancy, safe and effective exercises for pregnancy (with a comprehensive overview of contraindicated exercises), exercise regimes for post pregnancy and water training benefits for pregnancy.
With this course you will be able to physically prepare your clients for childbirth and help them recover and start exercising after childbirth.

Part-time short course
How is the course delivered? (Study mode & duration)
This is an attended short course that runs over 2 days on a weekend. You will be required to partake in a series of short theoretical and practical assessments during the course and will be tested upon completion of the course work with a practical exam and an online multiple-choice theory exam.

Do I need any previous qualifications to enroll in this course? (Entry requirements)
It is essential to have some prior exercise science knowledge to complete this course. Therefore, in order to enroll, you must hold at least an accredited Personal Training/Exercise Science/Fitness qualification on a NQF Level 5. We enforce this to ensure the safety of your clients.
How will I be recognised upon completion of this course? (Accreditation & certification)
This qualification will enable you to work with pregnant ladies during all trimesters of pregnancy and after the baby is born, both on a 1-on-1 basis and in a group. HFPA students are recruited by Preggi Bellies to teach their programme as well as working with Midwives and Doulas during the ante-natal care.
This course has been accredited with 6 REPS CPD points.
