This is a Pilates Mat training programme that provides a solid foundation in the principles of Pilates, including; alignment, breathing and core contraction. You will progress from a beginner level focusing on core strengthening exercises and postural awareness to an intermediate level that introduces more complex movements. With this course you will be able to teach beginner to intermediate Pilates classes in a mainstream gym or studio environment. It is ideal for anyone looking to secure a basic-level teaching credential and for fitness professionals looking to increase their marketability and earning potential.

How is this course presented? (Study mode & duration)?
This course runs over 7 days across 7 weekends (including the mock and practical exam days).
You will have three (3) months in which to complete the course.
You will receive an extensive theory manual with a descriptive exercise glossary explaining each exercise down to the last detail.
Assessments include; 2 assignments, 30 log-hours in a Pilates training environment, 1 case study, 1 practical exam and 1 online theory examination.
There are 2 optional, 2-hour workshops (overball and foamroller) that are offered as an addition (R350 per workshop) to this course if there is enough interest amongst the group.

Do I need any previous qualifications to enroll in this course? (Entry requirements)
In order to enroll in this course you must hold an Introduction to Exercise Science certification or equivalent.
How will I be recognised once I have completed this course? (Accreditation)
Upon completion of this course you will receive 20 CPD points regocnised by the International Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS). You will also receive a certificate of competence issued by HFPA recognising that you have fulfilled all the course requirements and competencies.
