This course is jam-packed with fun, practical activities to equip you with the skills to become a successful group fitness instructor. It covers the fundamentals of group fitness instruction including, exercise and dance moves, music selection, choreography and teaching methods. It also has detailed sections on body conditioning and step aerobics, as well as an overview of anatomy, physiology and general fitness principles. It is a practical, high-energy and versatile course providing a solid foundation for you to branch into specialised areas of aerobics including studio dance, studio box, body conditioning, etc.

How is this course delivered? (Study mode & duration)
The course is an attended course that runs over 3 weekends. It is very practical in its approach so be prepared to get active and have fun!
You will be required to log 10 hours of practicing time for the practical exam and another 40 experiential hours to receive your certificate. You are more than welcome to begin your experiential hours prior to the weekend workshops.

Do I need any previous qualifications to enroll in this course? (Entry requirements)
In order to register for this course you must have thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. If you have completed any previous personal training or fitness based course, this should be sufficient, however, if you have no previous anatomy or physiology knowledge, you will need to register for the Introduction to Exercise Science course, included in this course at a discounted rate.
How will I be recognised upon completion of this course? (Accreditation & certification)
Upon completion of this course you will be awarded 20 REPS CPD points and will receive an HFPA certificate of achievement.
