Mixed Martial arts has taken the fitness world by storm with many people incorporating fighting elements into their workouts. This course has been deigned to equip personal trainers and other fitness professionals with the knowledge and skills to incorporate boxing, kick-boxing and other forms of martial arts training into their service offering. You will learn to teach the basics of kickboxing, including punching, kicking, footwork and stance, as well as pad work, shadow boxing and fighting drills for individuals and small groups.

How is this course delivered? (Study mode & duration)
Fighting Fitt is an attended, 2-day course that runs over a Saturday and Sunday. You will receive a hard copy manual with all the course content and will undertake a practical assessment on the last day of the workshop.
What are the contents of this course? (Modules & chapters)
Round 1: Getting Started: boxing equipment and how to use it
Round 2: The Fighting Fit warm up, skipping styles, skills and drills. Learn to deliver popular boxing circuits and how to use bags and ropes to create a safe, effective and fun workout
Round 3: Form and footwork: learn basic movements and stance, as well as how to set-up and lead into punches and kicks
Round 4: Latest technique for 4 main punches – jab, cross, hook, and uppercut – integrated into Fighting Fitt’s ultimate full-body routine
Round 5: Champion combinations: total body training combining punching and footwork
Round 6: Workouts and programmes in one-to-one and class environments to improve focus, speed, fitness and body shape
Round 7: Motivate and inspire your clients with advanced teaching tips and tricks
Round 8: Achieve your career goals and increase your income
Do I need any previous qualifications to enrol in this course? (entry requirements)
Fighting Fitt is a continuing education programme for personal trainers and other fitness professionals looking to expand their service offering by incorporating fighting styles into their training programmes. Therefore, in order to enrol in this course, you must hold a qualification in personal training, exercise science or group fitness instruction. You do not require any prior fighting/kickboxing experience.
How will I be recognised upon completion of this course?
Upon completion of this course you will be awarded 8 REPS CPD points and will receive an HFPA Fighting Fitt certificate of achievement.
